Preserving the beauty, brilliance, and integrity of your jewelry for generations.
Every Bella Andrea & Co.™ creation is crafted to be treasured for generations. While diamonds are among the hardest substances found in nature, fine jewelry itself is a precision-crafted work of art that deserves thoughtful care.
With proper maintenance and periodic inspection, your jewelry can maintain its beauty, brilliance, and structural integrity for decades to come.
⸻
Everyday Wear
Your jewelry is designed to be enjoyed, but we recommend removing fine jewelry before activities that may subject it to unnecessary impact or exposure.
For the greatest protection, remove your jewelry before:
• Weightlifting or exercising
• Gardening or yard work
• Household cleaning
• Swimming or hot tubs
• Contact sports
• Heavy lifting
• Construction or manual labor
• Applying lotions, perfumes, or hairspray
• Sleeping (particularly larger rings)
⸻
Diamond Care
Both natural and laboratory-grown diamonds require the same level of care.
Although diamonds are exceptionally durable, the settings that hold them in place can wear over time through everyday use.
We recommend periodically checking your jewelry for:
• Loose or worn prongs
• Stone movement
• Excessive wear
• Bent settings
• Damage following accidental impact
If anything appears unusual, discontinue wearing the piece until it can be professionally inspected.
⸻
Cleaning Your Jewelry
Regular cleaning helps restore the brilliance and fire of your diamonds.
For routine home care:
• Warm water
• Mild dish soap
• A soft toothbrush
• A lint-free microfiber cloth
Gently brush behind the diamonds and underneath the setting where oils and residue naturally accumulate.
Avoid:
• Bleach
• Chlorine
• Abrasive cleaners
• Harsh household chemicals
• Rough polishing compounds
• Ultrasonic or steam cleaning unless appropriate for your specific jewelry
⸻
Gold & Platinum
Precious metals naturally develop small surface marks through everyday wear.
This is completely normal and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Professional polishing can restore much of your jewelry’s original finish when appropriate.
⸻
Professional Inspection
Bella Andrea & Co.™ recommends a professional inspection approximately every 6–12 months.
Routine inspections may include:
• Prong security
• Stone tightness
• Setting integrity
• Cleaning
• Polishing
• General condition assessment
Preventative maintenance can often identify minor issues before they require significant repair.
⸻
Safe Storage
When your jewelry is not being worn:
• Store each piece separately.
• Keep jewelry inside a soft pouch or presentation box.
• Avoid allowing diamonds to contact other jewelry, as diamonds can scratch other gemstones and even other diamonds.
• Store in a cool, dry location away from excessive humidity.
⸻
Insurance
Fine jewelry should be insured shortly after purchase.
We recommend obtaining appropriate insurance through your homeowner’s, renter’s, or specialized jewelry insurance provider to protect against accidental loss, theft, or covered damage.
⸻
Our Diamond Standards
Every Bella Andrea & Co.™ diamond is individually screened beyond its laboratory grading report.
Whether natural or laboratory-grown, each stone is carefully evaluated for:
• Brilliance
• Fire
• Transparency
• Crystal quality
• Cut precision
• Overall visual beauty
Because extraordinary jewelry begins with extraordinary diamonds.
⸻

⸻
Ring Size Changes
Finger size naturally changes throughout the year due to temperature, hydration, activity level, pregnancy, medications, and normal aging.
If your ring no longer fits comfortably, discontinue wearing it until the size can be evaluated. Wearing a ring that is too loose increases the risk of loss, while one that is too tight may place unnecessary stress on the setting and can become difficult to remove.
